About me
Hello!
I have been in education since 2008, starting as a high school art/design teacher in Washington state. As I worked with students I realized that what I loved most was supporting them through the highs & lows of life; being for them the person I wish I had in my own life when I was a student. It was this realization that sent me back to college to earn my master’s degree in School Counseling from Liberty University along with a National Board Certification in counseling. I am entering my 7th year as a school counselor (my 2nd year here in NC) and I love coming to work every day!
People describe me a warm and authentic individual who is known for my positivity, relational intuition, and for thinking outside of the box. I specialize in identifying and supporting students needs with the goal of helping them thrive in personal-social, academic, and career development. I have a passion for challenging and elevating students to become the best version of themselves and who see the potential for reaching their goals & dreams in life.
