I have assigned textbooks for all students this spring. They are waiting to be picked up when you return (1st week of the new semester). If you are entirely remote, you still need a textbook and will be able to pick yours up without entering the building (using the front office window); contact me for more details regarding this.
I have included a few "beginning of semester" documents to the left as well (Important: Some of these documents include hyperlinks that will only allow access to those with DCS issued e-mail addresses).
ALL students, regardless of class, need to fill out the second page of the student release form (under Useful Docs) and have their parents/guardians complete the other portion before submitting it. You may submit it by either bringing the signed document to school on your assigned day(s), bringing after hours to the office window, mailing it to the school address-% Kara Wood-or you may choose to simply use an app that enables you to sign and/or scan documents (such as Kami, CamScanner, Adobe Pro, Turbo Scan, etc.) and e-mail the PDF directly to me.
Also under useful links are the English II H syllabus & letter to parents/guardians (with a link to the Google Form to be completed) & a letter to AP Language & Composition students and parents as well as embedded links to a Google Form & an interactive syllabus.
I CAN'T DO MY JOB WITHOUT YOU! Make sure to keep on pace in Canvas and ASK questions!
This is my 10th year at West Davidson and my 20th year as an educator. I have a Masters of Education with a concentration in English/Rhetoric; I hold a 6-12 License in English/Language arts as well a K-12 AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) License.
Parents/Guardians: The best way to contact me is via e-mail. Please make sure you put your student's name in the subject line so that our system does not filter the message out and place it in SPAM.
