Dr. Tyler Oakley » About


Tyler Oakley is a graduate of NC State, BA '06, MA '08, and UNC-Chapel Hill, Ph.D. '14. As a graduate student he taught elementary and intermediate levels of Spanish. He taught Spanish as an adjunct at Elon University and Durham Tech. He spent two years prior to West in private secondary education at The Burlington School. 
Tyler is a native North Carolinian and enjoys spending time with friends, family (wife is a high school teacher, toddler son, and preteen daughter), being outdoors, watching racing, and enjoying local sports rivalries.
